B'nai Mitzvah & Confirmation

Bar/Bat Mitzvah The Hakafa Bar/Bat Mitzvah is a wondrous celebration. Individually crafted by the student with the help of his teachers and family, the process and the event are both joyful and meaningful.
Attendance at Friday night worship services and participation in our Hebrew Program are strongly encouraged. Families choose tutors and are given the opportunity to participate in workshops led by Rabbi Elder that are geared to assist in the creation of individual, unique Bar/Bat Mitzvah service "prayer books". In addition, as part of the Religious School instruction in the 7th grade, Rabbi Elder teaches a "mitzvah curriculum".
Confirmation In the 11th grade, students are invited to join the confirmation class. Participants study weekly for one hour.
