Past SessionsSaturday, April 15, 2023 • 24 Nisan 5783 - 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM - Chicago - contact tayalim@hakafa.org for location details
Saturday, October 15, 2022 • 20 Tishrei 5783 - 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM - TBA
Please join Congregation Hakafa and Emanuel Congregation outdoors in Chicago for a morning of Shabbat stories and songs led by Rabbi Elder along with a special guest from Drag Queen Story Hour! This program is aimed at children ages 0-8 and their caregivers, but families of all ages are welcome.
Please email tayalim@hakafa.org for the exact location and with any questions.
Drag Queen Story Hour celebrates reading through the art of drag helping children develop empathy, learn about gender diversity, and tap into their own creativity. It can also be lifechanging and lifesaving for LGBTQ kids and teens, those with LGBTQ family members, or anyone who feels different because of their identity and may not otherwise see themselves reflected in the broader culture. The Shechina is a feminine manifestation of the Divine and is known as the Sabbath Queen.
