This service is for those who would like to experience the Yom Kippur liturgy in a more informal, intimate setting before our regular morning service begins.
10:00 AM - Morning Service
This is our traditional Yom Kippur morning service.
11:45 AM - Study Session I with Jonah Orlofsky
Jonah Orlofsky will lead a discussion on different High Holiday related readings.
1:00 PM - Children’s/Family Service
2:00 PM - Meditation and Yoga Sessions
A 20-minute, Yom Kippur guided meditation, led by Beth Fishman, will be followed by a 45-minute Yoga session led by Sharyn Galindo.
Before the guided meditation, it is recommended that you read this background information on forgiveness in the Jewish tradition.
3:00 PM - Study Session II with David Joel
David Joel will lead a discussion on one of the most extraordinary photo-journalists of the 20th century: a Frenchman - Henri Dauman. Dauman kept secret most of his life the fact that he survived the Holocaust.
4:00 PM - Music performed by a trio including Henry Criz
A string trio, led by Henry Criz, will be playing reflective, classical music.
