Shabbat Service and Dinner in the Sukkah with Members of Kibbutz Kissufim
Friday, October 18, 2024 • 16 Tishrei 5785
6:30 PM - 9:00 PMOn this Shabbat Sukkot, we have a special opportunity to gather to welcome seven members of Kibbutz Kissufim. Kibbutz Kissufim was largely destroyed in the horrific Hamas attacks of last October 7, and Hakafa was part of an initiative with other area congregations to organize support for the displaced residents of the kibbutz. On this Shabbat Sukkot, we will also be joined by members of Oak Park Temple and Temple Beth Israel who helped to support the Kibbutz along with Hakafa and Beth Emet.
We will share a Shabbat Service together. Afterward, for those who are interested, we’ll enjoy a potluck dinner, providing a unique opportunity to engage with the guests from Kissufim.
Pre-registration for dinner is required by Thursday, October 17 at this link. Each household is asked to bring a side dish, salad, or dessert. The cost is $18 per person to cover the entrée.
Don’t miss this special evening of community, connection, and celebration!
If you cannot attend in-person, you can watch the service at this livestream link:
