Hakafa Chai
Hakafa Chai (Chai stands for Chavurat Yeladim, meaning a "community of children") is a network of families with tots (4 & younger) who come together throughout the year for Jewish tot programming and meaningful Jewish community across the north shore.
SIGNING UP FOR HAKAFA CHAI...
Signing up for Hakafa Chai allows you:
⇒ Free participation in all Hakafa Chai programming
⇒ Full support from Rabbi Anna Calamaro and Rabbi Bruce Elder
for any pastoral needs that may arise for your family
⇒ A Hakafa Chai t-shirt for your tot/s
Hakafa Chai enrollment opens twice a year (in August and in January).
If you missed the Hakafa Chai open enrollment or just want to "try things out" before signing up,
you are welcome to register à la carte for individual events.
For more information, please contact Rabbi Anna Calamaro.
HAKAFA CHAI EVENTS THIS SPRING:
BEDTIME FRIENDLY SHABBAT SERVICE 2X A MONTH!
Join Congregation Hakafa for our "bedtime-friendly" Shabbat service on the second and fourth Fridays of each month! Shabbat services start at 5:30 PM and end between 6:15 and 6:30 PM. A rug with toys for tots is available during the service, so your little ones can play beside you while you pray.
We welcome the shrieks, cries, snacks, emergency diaper changes, spills, and everything that comes along with your tot joining us in our worship space. No need to attempt to keep your tot still or silent... our space is your space.
Contact Rona for Winnetka service location. We look forward to seeing you!
