Shabbat in the Home
Shabbat in the Home
Shabbat-in-the-Home is Back – Hosts Needed for June 17, 2022!
Pre-COVID, in place of Shabbat services one Friday evening per year, Hakafa celebrated Shabbat dinner together at various members’ homes. On Shabbat-in-the-Home, every congregation member is invited to dine and share the evening at another member’s home. Together we light Shabbat candles, share a delicious meal, enjoy interesting conversation, meet new friends, and reconnect with old ones. It has always been a special evening that is all about making Hakafa the encirclement that it is.
We are bringing Shabbat-in-the-Home back this year and plan to offer outdoor options for those who prefer! But, we can only do it if we get enough volunteer hosts - - 15+ host families are needed.
If you are willing to open up your home/patio/deck to other Hakafa members for a potluck Shabbat dinner on Friday, June 17, 2022, please sign-up at this link or contact Mimi and Philip Dray.
We hope to get enough volunteers (with indoor and outdoor spaces) to make this happen, and we also hope you will join us as we celebrate Shabbat.
PLEASE NOTE: You must be fully vaccinated in order to host or participate in Shabbat-in-the-Home.
If you have any questions, please contact Mimi and Philip Dray.
