PURIM FUN FOR ALL AGES
with members of
THE ANNOYANCE THEATER!
Come sip some wines (or juices),
help us tell the Purim story,
enjoy an improv game or two, and more!
Experience Purim at Hakafa like you never have before!
6:30 PM - Free Wine and Juice Tasting
7:00 PM - Megilla Reading - including scenes facilitated
by members of The Annoyance Theater
7:45 PM - Nosh, Schmooze, Schnapps, and Improv Games
Of course, there will be HAMENTASHEN for everyone to nosh!
Come in COSTUME and win a prize!
Purim is a one-day celebration observed on the 14th day of the Hebrew month of Adar (one month before Passover). It commemorates the saving of the Jewish communities living under Persian rule from Haman's evil designs to exterminate them. Although there is some uncertainty about the date, the events described in the Book of Esther (Megillat Esther) took place about 450 B.C.E.
At Hakafa, we joyously celebrate Purim with our annual Megilla Reading and Purim Carnival (most years),
