Hebrew study is an integral part of our educational program. Knowledge of Hebrew increases a student's ability to understand and feel connected to Judaism and to the Jewish people.

Students in kindergarten through second grade participate in a "Hebrew Readineses Program" on Sunday mornings during Religious School. Students learn blessings, songs, and Hebrew words for Jewish symbols and concepts (i.e. mezuzah, siddur, tzedakah) and also begin learning the Hebrew alphabet.

Students in third through seventh grades participate in our mid-week Hebrew program. Classes meet on Tuesday afternoons from 4:15 to 6:00 p.m. Upon completion of the seventh grade Hebrew program, students lead a service at their graduation ceremony in May.
