Sunday Morning Adult Ed - “Remix Judaism: Preserving Tradition in a Diverse World" with Professor Roberta Kwall

Sunday, January 23, 2022 21 Sh'vat 5782

10:30 AM - 12:00 PMvia Zoom

Please join us via Zoom for Sunday Morning Adult Education when Professor Roberta Kwall will discuss the thesis of her new book, Remix Judaism: Preserving Tradition in a Diverse World, as it applies to individuals, parents, and grandparents seeking to deepen their connection to Jewish tradition outside of strict compliance with the rules of Jewish law. Her book demonstrates how developing a richer set of culturally religious norms in the home can provide a foundation for transmissible Jewish tradition, and invites readers to construct their own Jewish journeys with greater mindfulness and intentionality. Contact Barbara Miller if you wish to purchase Professor Kwall’s book.

Roberta Rosenthal Kwall is the Raymond P. Niro Professor at DePaul University College of Law. She graduated from the Brown University with a major in Religious Studies and the University of Pennsylvania Law School. She also has a master’s degree in Jewish Studies. Kwall is an internationally renowned scholar and lecturer and has published over 30 scholarly articles and book chapters on a wide variety of topics including Jewish law and culture, authorship rights, and intellectual property.
