High Holiday Choir
High Holiday Choir
Hakafa's High Holiday Choir is made up of a mix of Hakafa members and professional singers who bring beauty to our holiday services.
Enthusiastic singers are needed to join our dedicated core for the High Holidays! To fill the sanctuary with sound, we are counting on several new members to join our forces. Our choir director, Ed Zelnis, is happy to help new members.
Rehearsals will begin August 27 from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. at the North Shore United Methodist Church (213 Hazel Avenue, Glencoe) and will continue weekly on Tuesday evenings for 5 more weeks. These are the rehearsal dates:
August 27, September 3, September 10,
September 17, September 24, October 1
Again this year -- prior to the first rehearsal (August 27), join Rabbi Elder at 6:15 p.m. to get a better understanding of some of the songs/prayers that we sing. BYO Dinner – we will provide drinks/dessert.
Don’t hesitate for a minute …jump right in!
