EARLY Shabbat Service - Guest Speaker: Nicole Burnside
Friday, May 31, 2024 • 23 Iyar 5784
5:30 PM - 7:00 PMWinnetka Community House (620 Lincoln Avenue, Winnetka) and via ZoomJoin us for our “bedtime-friendly” Shabbat service! Services begin at 5:30 p.m. on the last Friday of every month. This is a regular service, and it enables families with young children to have a Friday night Shabbat experience with the rest of our congregational community. A rug with toddler toys will be available.
Please note: This service is in place of our regular 7:30 p.m. service. We hope you will be there!
May is National Foster Awareness Month. Therefore, on this Shabbat we welcome as our guest speaker, Nicole Burnside, a child welfare social worker and co-founder of Mimi’s Place in Highland Park, who will speak at our bedtime-friendly service about families that foster children. A foster parent herself, Nicole will share her insights of the dynamics of fostering and the system that facilitates the fostering experience.
If you will be joining us via Zoom, click here for a copy of our Friday Evening Siddur (prayer book). You should either print it out ahead of time or have it up on another screen during our service.
