Selichot

Saturday, September 21, 2019 21 Elul 5779

8:00 PM - 10:00 PMTBA

The Saturday evening prior to Rosh Hashanah (or two Saturday evenings before if Rosh Hashanah begins on a Sunday) is the time to officially welcome the High Holiday season. We do so through communal study and the recitation of penitential prayers (known as selichot). This year, Selichot falls on Saturday, September 1. After schmoozing and Havdallah, Rabbi Elder will lead a discussion.

Following the program, we will hold a brief selichot service, hear the shofar blast for the first time, and finish the night with something sweet to nosh at a potluck dessert. Please bring something dairy, fresh fruit, or baked goods (without lard) to share.

* PLEASE PARK on either the south side of Strawberry Hill or the east side of Oak Drive.*

Contact Rabbi Elder with questions.

We hope to see you there.
