Monday, August 12, 2024 8 Av 5784

6:30 PM - 9:30 PMNorth Shore location details will be provided with registration.

Tisha B'Av marks the traditional day of mourning for the destruction of the First and Second Temples. In modern times, many Jews understand Tisha B'Av as a day to remember the many tragedies that have befallen the Jewish people throughout history, and to reflect on the suffering that still occurs in our world. Kintsugi is the centuries-old Japanese art of fixing broken pottery.

Join us for a Tisha B’Av commemoration and Kintsugi workshop that will help us contemplate the broken nature of our world and the healing power of art. Our workshop will be led by Japanese artist Mami Takahashi, a Kintsugi expert and teacher.
