Kesher "Taste and Learn" with Chef Ami of Ami Jerusalem Street Food
Wednesday, May 15, 2024 • 7 Iyar 5784
7:00 PM - 9:00 PMCurt's Cafe (1766 Second Street, Highland Park)RSVP required by May 10. To RSVP, please email Rabbi Elder.
Join Kesher* for a wonderful culinary experience! Chef Ami (of the NEW Ami Jerusalem Street Food in Highwood) will bring a variety of Middle Eastern dips and side dishes for us to learn about and taste. What makes a food Middle Eastern or Israeli? What are the origins of the many variations of the assorted foods of that region? Come and find out!
NOTE: You must RSVP by May 10 in order for Chef Ami to know how much food to bring. RSVP to Rabbi Elder.
*Many Hakafa members have been living their congregation experience through their children. As their children move away, they are beginning to ask how to engage in our community for themselves. Kesher (Hebrew for “Connection”) allows members in this demography to get to know one another, share ideas, and create new and deep relationships. Though geared toward new, recent, or soon-to-be empty nesters, all Hakafa members are invited to join us.
