Selichot

Saturday, September 13, 2025 20 Elul 5785

7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

The Saturday evening prior to Rosh Hashanah is the time to officially welcome the High Holiday
season. We do so through communal study and the recitation of penitential prayers (known as
selichot).

This year, Selichot falls on Saturday, September 13. We will be joined by women from WIND (Women Initiating New Directions – www.windprogram.org), a Chicagoland non-profit that helps women impacted by the criminal legal system.

After schmoozing/snacking and Havdallah, the WIND women will share their stories and lead us in an interactive exploration of resolve, healing, empowerment, and return. We will then hold a brief Selichot service and hear the shofar blast for the first time.

Come join us for a meaningful time to reflect on the past year and consider how to move forward with forgiveness and peace. We hope to see you there.

Please contact Rona for location information.
